All good things come in threes!
This is how we can sum up the Euro Freestyle and Creative Days 2021. In the three years of the event, we have learned a lot, continued to network with many partners and faced the various challenges that an event of such magnitude brings with it.
Once again, many people from the city of Brandenburg and all over Germany were able to present colourful art and culture and make it an experience for all generations. The focus here was especially on the diverse workshops and activity booths. Under the motto “Live – Skate – Create”, many families, children and young people were able to have their first playful encounters and experiences with our colourful subcultures over the three days.
The freestyle skateboarding contest started on Friday with the best trick, handstand and spin contest. This gave us a good foretaste of what was to come in the semi-final and final runs. With a total of 64 participants, the Freestyle Contest was unparalleled in Europe, as this starting field was a new record in the history of the sport. For the first time, it was also possible to organise a girls’ contest. In the end, the lucky winners in the Rookies, Girls, Amateurs, Pro and Masters groups stood on the podium of the European Championships in the Industriemusem Brandenburg an der Havel.
The consistently positive feedback and response from the city, partners and thousands of guests at the event has encouraged us in our actions and allowed us to grow together as a collective. We are very grateful for this encouragement and experience!
A big thank you goes to all sponsors, supporters and the many volunteers. Without you, the Euro Freestyle & Creative Days would not have been possible!
We look forward to the next event in 2022 with you – One Love!
